The Journey

I initially trained as a Hatha Yoga Teacher through the British Wheel of Yoga, qualifying in 2006.

I taught classes for a couple of years, then took a break to raise a family and concentrate on my fulltime job as a Special Needs Teacher.

In the meantime, I developed an interest in folk music. I took up playing the fiddle and developed my passion for singing, accompanying myself on the guitar. Indeed, the whole family became involved with folk music.

In 2016 and 2017, I completed training with John Scott and Lucy Crawford to obtain my 200 hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training Course. This included studying Yoga Anatomy with David Keil and Yoga Philosophy with Greg Nardi.

In 2018, I became more interested in Mantra and Kirtan singing and started studying with Peter Barrett, attending various retreats and learning how to play the harmonium and guitarlele.

My own yoga practice has sustained me through some difficult times and I feel passionate about helping others and giving them tools that will help them to transform their lives.

Change happens gradually. It starts with a grounded practice with firm roots.  From those strong foundations, we can "grow" a sustaining and life-enhancing practice that brings us home to ourselves, making us comfortable within our own skin, yet open to growth and transformation.
